How business registration works

A clear route through CROS and the Companies Registry.

We organize the process around what the official Registry currently requires, then help you prepare for each stage.

1. Registration readiness

Clarify the structure, proposed name and the people involved. Identify missing information before filing.

2. Registry account setup

The Companies Registry Online System requires a CRA. Companies require CRA participation from the persons involved in formation.

3. Name reservation

Search the proposed name, submit the reservation request and respond to any Registry query. Approved reservations are currently valid for 45 days.

4. Registration or incorporation filing

Complete the structure-specific online application, approvals and applicable statutory payment.

5. Signed-document completion

Current Registry procedures require signed paperwork to be delivered to the relevant Companies Registry counter to complete certificate collection.

6. Post-registration awareness
